For Uvalde County Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1 — Fair, Efficient, Community-Focused

Meet JJ Suarez

My name is JJ Suarez, and I am running for Uvalde County Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1 because our community deserves a court that works efficiently, fairly, and with integrity.

I hold a master's degree in criminal justice and currently serve as a CJ instructor where I train and mentor those who will serve our community. I also bring real-world experience in law enforcement service since 1995.

Community Support

I have served over 25 years with Little League (local and district). I've managed and coached baseball and softball teams, several that did not include my own children, in addition to coaching soccer and basketball through Tree City Sports.

I have been a volunteer mentor at Morales Junior High and through the church and am currently a volunteer mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

I also volunteer at Uvalde Methodist Church during Vacation Bible School and weekly as audio visual tech assistant.

I am a member of Team Uvalde, serve on the advisory board of Middle Rio Grande Workforce Solutions, and volunteer as an elected trustee of Uvalde Consolidated School Board.

Why JJ For Justice of the Peace?

I believe justice should always be fair, consistent, and respectful to everyone who comes before the court. As your candidate for Uvalde County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1, my commitment is to handle each case promptly and carefully, following established procedures so that every person is heard and every decision is grounded in both the law and the facts. Cases in Justice of the Peace courts often involve everyday issues that affect families, businesses, and livelihoods, so I will work to ensure they move forward without unnecessary setbacks or delays.

Fairness, efficiency, and integrity guide how I will serve on the bench. I will maintain order in the courtroom, treat everyone with dignity, and apply the law consistently so that outcomes are predictable and rooted in our community’s traditional values of hard work, responsibility, and respect. By keeping the process transparent and accessible, my goal is to strengthen trust in the Justice of the Peace court and ensure that Uvalde County PCT 1 residents feel confident that justice is being done close to home.
